Mad Mecha terrain

after getting all inspired by Gruntz, I found a vendor called Mad Mecha guy who makes really nice MDF terrain in a few different scales.

So, a quick order later and this is what I got for £27.  Now to paint them up

8 solar panels, they have removable bases so you can turn the panels around

15 cargo containers, 5 x 9cm long ones and 10 x 7cm long ones.  You can make them up with the doors open or closed.

8 x 8cm long billboards.  I added the base as I ordered ones that were meant to be attached to a building.

3 x helo pads

Gruntz games

Got to get a few games of Gruntz in and it's a nice little system.

nice and straight forward, we didn't have to refer back to the rules too often and it just worked.

Makes me want to go buy some more 15mm...

1st game, nothing too fancy, equal forces, basic vehicles, just enough to get our head around the system.

Tamsin had the Arc forces (blue) and I had the Titan marines (brown)

Tamsin got the first go, everything came rushing forward

The Titan VTOL hiding behind the cargo containers, about to pop up attack the tank

The VTOL relocated, trying for a side attack on the tank

Ambush sprung on the tank, it's dying act was to knock out the walker that killed it.

Full Thrust support ships

Picked up a few support ships from GZG for my NSL fleet.  I decided to try and magnetise the flight stand so that I can pack them down into a smaller box rather than having the flight stand break off.

Lets see if this crazy idea works.

Waste recycling ship.  Such a cool model that I had to buy one

Gruntz, 15mm Scifi rules

I've been meaning to pick a full copy of these rules for a while now.

I had a look at them when they were in beta and then got distracted by Tomorrows War.

Will be interesting to see which I prefer to play.

I like the way that Gruntz has lots of support from the various 15mm vendors and has published army lists for most of them.  Saves me a lot of time.

From the first glance, they seem pretty straight forward and look like they will be a lot of fun.

Now to get them on the table.

20mm insurgents and US for Force on Force

Picked up a few more insurgent and US troops for Force on Force at Salute.

They are now based and based coated, now to paint them.

I'm going to play around with the basing for a few of the troops, especially the snipers.  I was thinking to build a wall for them to hide behind.

Heavy Weapons teams.

Final 15mm Napoleonics

Geeze, you need a lot of bases and figures for a FoGN army.

I'm using these general troops as the command pips.  The ebay army I bought had quite a few of these spare, so, why not use them.

The generals closer up

The final general base.  This gives my five generals, one for the CnC and four sub generals
