Ohh dear,
the 20mm/25mm has bitten me and have now bought a new army.
I've gone for 20mm figures for my Chinese army. It was a lot cheaper and lighter than the lead version.
More pictures to come
I've bought figures from a variety of manufactures as no one range does everthing
This is my little site devoted to my favorite wargames, ADLG, ADLG-R, Field of Glory Renaissance, Gruntz and what ever else I discover.

20mm insurgents and US for Force on Force
Picked up a few more insurgent and US troops for Force on Force at Salute.
They are now based and based coated, now to paint them.
I'm going to play around with the basing for a few of the troops, especially the snipers. I was thinking to build a wall for them to hide behind.
Heavy Weapons teams.
Stinger
20mm US rebased
I rebased my 20mm modern US troops. I botched the first basing pretty badly and used cheap wood glue and super glue, so, the first time I put them on the table, 1/2 of them fell off their bases.
I picked up four of these paratroopers stye troops .

Force on Force - The Alamo
Finally got FoF on the table again.
I brought in the Peoples Vegetarian Liberation Army and Tim brought in the US.
the scenario was called the Alamo. The US start hunkered down in cover supporting a squad stuck in a damaged vehicle. Their objective was to hold on for 8 turns and prevent the vehicle from begin looted.
The table set up with the US hunkered down
The PVLA outflank the US using the market for cover
Bugger.... the US bring reinforcements and the PVLA in the open
The PVLA heavy weapon teams arrive and arc up on the US. Everything goes very quiet.....
It was a convincing win to the PVLA. They managed to loot the AVVPT, wipe out two US fire teams and the Spec ops team who joined the party.
The new cheat sheets worked very nicely, the game flowed very quickly and we only had to refer to the rules for vehicle stats.
now, why didn't they supply a decent cheat sheet with the rules.....

FoF game last night
Got to bring out FoF to the table last night and we had a hoot.
Got to have three games in one night. I brought my 20mm US Marines and British to the table.
We each took turns playing the US Marines. The scenario was the Marines were guarding an important intersection and the British were trying to capture it.
The British won the first round with help from a very fortunate Fog of War card played on the US. They thought that there was going to be a gas attack, so, kitted up in their NBC gear. This caused their quality to drop a level which gave the British an advantage.
The next two games we changed things a bit and played a night time game. A squad of SAS had to infiltrate the table and take out the squad protecting the intersection. They were armed with silenced weapons and the yanks had three more inf squads in various barracks.
In both games, the SAS failed to meet their objectives. Once squad of veteran SAS can't take on a platoon of average troops, though, they did give the Yanks a very bloody nose in the first game.
The game was a hoot, we had a lot of fun and with the new cheat sheets, it flowed nicely.
We got stuck in and even got to have a tank and a couple of HMMMV with TOWs on the table.
There were lots of Fog of War cards played which added lots of spice to the game.
Looking forward to playing more.

20mm Moderns
One of the guys in the London club is interested in playing Force on Force and has a lot of 20mm figures.
you know what happened next....
I picked up a box of 20mm modern day US for £8 delivered. Not bad for 40 odd figures.
I've opened up the box and the figures look quite nice.
I can see the attraction with 20mm, there is quite a decent range out there for 1/72 or 20mm and they are not badly priced.
Now, to pick up some terrorists and russians.
wonder if I can find some French Foreign Legion
