ADLG Communal Italians off to Burton 2019

Andy and I are teaming up for Badcon in Burton upon Trent.

The competition period is 300 points any book 1251—1500AD

So, we've decided to go for something fun but with a lot of options.

We've gone for Papal Communal Italian.

Andy is our master of puns and come up with the general names

Army is lead by Pope Giltiparti

The knight command is lead by Eduardo Crilli

Alberto Bertorelli will be leading the 2nd foot command

Tanquard de Limoncello will be leading the foot assault command.

The camels won at Badcon 2017.

Kevin and I went for a bonkers army this year rather than our usual Pike and Shotte.

Scarey that the top three places were all camels.....

FOG Renaissance Doubles

900 points any book 1571AD—1621AD.

£30.00 per team

 

Renaissance special rule- Any heavy artillery used must be the first battlegroup(s) deployed, followed immediately by any medium artillery used.

We are bringing an early 30 years war German army which should be a hoot.

Should be a fun comp to kick the year off, but still trying to work out what the heck Lord Hoof is bringing.....

Burton 2015

Curses to Lord Hoof and his Tartars!

Kevin and I placed 2nd on 74 points while Lord Hoof got 1st on 79.

 

We did well to catch up after he thumped us 21-4 on the 3rd game.

It never bodes well for a Swiss keil when you are getting 21 dice of shooting a turn, including your own artillery which had been captured!.

The period was a lot of fun, nice and tight, so, lots of proper armies and one Tart.

Woot woot, I won my first FoGR competition!

I partnered up with Kevin J and his Danish army and we won the competition.

It was  very different going into the last bound and actually being worried about how many points we were on and how much we needed to win by to win the comp.

Mick H brought in a 21 battlegroup army, damm there were a lot of them

Burton FoGR Doubles

So, this weekend I was up in the brewing capital of the UK playing FoGR and drinking whisky.

I teamed up with Dave A from the club and we used a Scotish army and managed to place fifth! We were playing for third place on the final round when we ran up against Alistar and Paddy....

So, not too bad, we only lost our army to the 1st and 2nd seeds...
